Hello all, much progress has been made at the Mission Hall over the winter period and we can now report that the Hall has been comprehensively refurbished and now includes a kitchen and a fully accessible toilet. The interior has been re-painted and is now a beautiful welcoming space for the community and visitors alike.
We have just begun our first exhibition of the year, ‘Umbrella Legs’. Lancaster Museum has kindly lent us a selection of photographs by John Walker who lived in Sunderland Village and was a prolific photographer of Sunderland Point and the area from 1880 to 1920. You can visit our Sunderland point website to see more photos and John Walker’s life story here https://www.sunderlandpoint.net/johnwalker

You can now visit the Hall and enjoy the photographs, tides and volunteer curators permitting. We now have tea and coffee available for weary walkers as well as water for thirsty dogs (and humans!).
